Simply by arriving just 10 minutes early you will feel more relaxed and be ready for work, it could also give you time to grab a cup of coffee and say hello to your fellow workmates.
Taking time with your choice of dress is also a winner. Not only will you look good and grab attention but it also says you are bothered about your appearance and you are a professional. Dress is of the utmost importance if you are representing your company or firm in meetings, how you look will reflect on the company and this can make a huge difference to securing contracts. However on saying this, your dress should reflect on the type of work you do and the situation you work in, for example some companies prefer a less formal dress code.
Your competency is also a big issue, not only should you be more than competent to do your job but you should also take pride in what you do. Setting yourself goals and managing your time more efficiently and should be always looking for ways to better yourself and your work for the company.
Enthusiasm and positivity are both excellent traits that not only will do you good in life, but also will impress your boss. Having a positive attitude about all aspects of your work and the company is essential as is showing enthusiasm. You should always be looking for ways to make improvements and scoping out new possibilities that you can use to your advantage.
Having a friendly and approachable attitude can impress your boss and will also make the working environment a lot easier to be in. if your co-workers and boss know that you are approachable and have a friendly manner then it makes working with you so much easier. In today’s world having the ability to fit in and work with others in a team is essential is most businesses and is in fact one of the key skills that most bosses will look for when hiring and firing. If there are personality classes within the company these should always be put aside and forgotten about to the best of your ability.
