For those on the outside looking in, always feeling tired appears to be an “easy” beast to conquer. “Simply get extra sleep,” they say… but oh they could not be more wrong. If you’re feeling continually tired and want to get extra energy, the first step is dispelling the myths and misconceptions that have arisen about sleep habits and energy in general.

To begin with, let’s talk about sleep. The typical human being has a sleep cycle of round 90 minutes. These cycles have 5 stages, ranging from the ‘I’m-pretty-much-awake’ to REM (rapid eye motion) sleep. Your body can solely be replenished by shifting through all 5 of those phases.

See, sleeping for eight hours will typically leave individuals more tired than sleeping for 7 and a half. The reason for this is that 7.5 is divisible by 1.5 hours, therefore meaning you get in 5 ninety minute sleep cycles. However, sleeping for 8 hours means you’ll be waking up in the midst of a cycle, never allowing it to complete. In effect, you’ll be strolling around all the time feeling tired with a body that begs you to get back to bed and complete your sleep cycle. This is the reason that a person can sleep 10 hours and nonetheless feel tired all day long (not to point out all-too-ready for that afternoon nap).

However what about other components? Sleep is unquestionably an enormous player in determining your vitality level, however different factors come into play as well. You’ve most likely gotten your “second-wind” before, where you unexpectedly don’t really feel so exhausted and may keep going for a while. Just this right here is sufficient to point out that there’s a mental connection to your tiredness as well.

Furthermore, someone always feeling tired should take a look at their food plan and exercise habits. High fat foods can inhibit chemical connections within the brain and leave you feeling like you must recharge way sooner than you would need to otherwise. Also, exercising is key in maintaining power level for multiple reasons: 1) Training yourself to live a sedentary lifestyle tells your body it doesn’t need to store much energy and 2) Exercising releases endorphins in the brain that can assist you keep awake and alert.

Constant fatigue and tiredness can lead to a plethora of complications not just in your physical health, but also in relationships, work productivity, and above all your mental health and mood. Trust me, a well rested brain is a happy one and EVERYTHING is easier to deal with when you are full of energy. In order to help other people discover the methods I used to eliminate tiredness from my life I’ve created a resource site over at always feeling tired that should be simply eye opening to you!

So much of our lives is spent looking forward. First of all, there’s the negative kind of looking forward – we all know and love this one as “worry” – in fact, I’ve just got an email from a client asking me how could he stop the stupid worries that come into his mind at 4 o’clock in the morning. And someone else recently said to me that he was worried because he could think of nothing to worry about! Psychology suggests that we’re hard-wired for worry – that, of the 50,000 random thoughts that fly through our heads each day, we’re more inclined to pay attention to and believe the negative ones.

Of course then, there’s positive looking forward. “I can’t wait for the holidays”, “I’m really looking forward to the girls’ night out”, “I’m going to hire a campervan and travel the world when I retire”, “Are you looking forward to the weekend?” Recently, as I began to address twenty Personal Development clients on a Monday morning in Dublin, Ireland, one of them asked me if I was looking forward to flying home to my family and the French Alps the following weekend. My answer was “I simply can’t figure out how to think that far ahead – if I was to think that far ahead, I wouldn’t be here with you now!”

Our lives should be lived in the here and now. What you do here and now has a direct and lasting impact on your success or, more normally, abject failure compared to the success that you could actually achieve. If you waste your time – even a little of it – looking forward, then you’re screwing up your own life on an ongoing basis, permanently. Small wonder that normal people are “not so bad”, little wonder that university research indicates that normal people only use roughly one percent of their mental energy to be in the only place and time that’s real – the present moment.

The course of your life, which is defined, if you think about it, by apparently random events, will be changed for the better if you were to stop looking forward and start looking at what’s actually going on now. Those apparently random events happen only now – and some of them will take you to where you want to go in life, if you just open your eyes and see them. These random events are what people call opportunities! – and life is full of them if you’d just tune in to now.

What if you could simply press a button to achieve your hopes and goals? Well, try looking around the internet a little – not much searching needed, you’ll find lots of personal development websites that suggest that changing your life can be just that effortless. Naturally, there’s no such thing as a quick fix when it comes to living the dream – if that was the case everybody would be doing it. But even though there’s no magic switch that you can flick, even though your life won’t change in a single mouse-click, in fact, personal development or self improvement is quite like tuning in an old-fashioned radio. And like old-fashioned radios, the reception keeps coming and going, you have to keep fine-tuning.

On the other hand, our mind is tuned out – or, perhaps, more like completely turned off! Research confirms that the normal mind is about 1% tuned in to the only place and time where life is lived – the present. Most of your attention – and you’re not even aware of it – is focused on stuff that you learned about yourself when you were a child. These are the reference points that your subconscious mind uses to dictate your all-too-automatic reactions that everything that you think is happening now. And, as we’ve said, you’re not aware of it at all.

But life is taking place in front of your very eyes and you’re trying to listen to life’s radio station but you can’t hear a thing. That’s because you’re not paying attention. If you want to change your life, you’re going to have to re-learn how to pay attention to what’s really happening now – this is how to tune in and transform your life. I use the word “re-learn” because, when you were young, you were great at paying attention – perhaps not at school because maybe school didn’t turn you on – but, when you were even younger, when, say, you got a new toy, you gave it and maybe even the box it came, in all of your attention. You examined it, looked at it inside out, smelled it, licked it, shook it, held it up to your ear – you used all of your senses to completely experience the new toy. Every moment is like that new toy – to fully experience what’s going on, you’re going to have to see it, feel it, hear it, smell it and taste it as if you’d never come across anything quite like it before. And, of course, you haven’t because every moment is unique.

For sure, changing your life is as simple as tuning in. The one problem, however, is that the radio signal keeps coming and going – you’re going to have to learn to tune yourself in again and again. How about starting not start each and every day with five minutes fine-tuning?

And why is financial security at the centre of so many people’s thoughts, why are so many people focused on money, making more of it, holding on to what they have or thought they had, fearful of not having enough? Indeed, I think that I would be correct when I say that our current afflictions in the so-called “developed world” are borne out of the ubiquitous obsession with money. And, sad to say, this is an obsession fuelled, in part, by people operating in the area in which I’ve been working since 1996 – the self-improvement or personal development “industry”.

Indeed, it is quite bizarre that many personal growth “gurus” or “better yourself experts” are often almost exclusively focused on money – and making more of it. In other words, DVDs and books like “The Secret”, websites that shout “Treble Your Income” or sell false $1m bills pander to the self-destructive obsession of the majority of people in this developed world of ours. People are obsessed with having “enough” money – whatever “enough” actually means! Does it, for example, mean something like Rockefeller’s idea that “enough” meant “just one more!” – or does it mean something else entirely?

But, I digress. I’ve done a little research and found that even “self-help classics” like Florence Schovel-Shinn’s 1926 “The Game of Life and How to Play It” – which I recommend to all my clients – places undue emphasis on money. Money crops up all over the place in that and, sad to say, most “self-help” books. Even my own book “To Succeed…Just Let Go” wanders into the area of how to make more money. Or perhaps I’m being a little too hard on myself because, in essence, it explains how ample money flows if you do.

However, recently, after a heart-warming meal in the breath-taking surroundings of the French Alpine lakeside town of Annecy, as we meandered along the snow-covered streets, I took one step back and looked at my wife and three children (big children at this stage!) linking, arm-in-arm ahead of me. That’s what happiness is – that’s what success is all about. Just in that moment.

We’re not wealthy by any stretch of the imagination. We’re not obsessed with money – otherwise, I might work a little more often than I do! But we’ve never run short of the stuff and we have plenty for now. And that’s all anyone needs.
So let’s stop obsessing about money, financial freedom, passive income, greed – all various words used by my clients over the last couple of weeks – and let’s get on with looking at what we have, embracing what we have, savouring the wonderful moments that life offers us more often than not, if we’d only open our eyes, minds and hearts to them. In reality, that’s what life is all about.

Unfortunately however, far too often, definitions of success are based on the norms of the society in which we find ourselves – we take the achievements of society’s apparently successful people as our barometer and, consequently, our definitions of success end up being comparative, competitive and, all too often, materially focused.

A closer look, however, often reveals that those held aloft as paragons of success are nothing more than naked emperors. OK, they may have achieved success in one aspect of their lives but other facets of their lives may well be a complete mess. In addition , many so-called successful people have climbed to the top by walking over others or trampling other people’s aspirations into the dirt – if they sleep soundly it is only because they have chosen to turn a blind eye to the damage that they have done.

True success is more than that. True success should be multi-faceted. Indeed, true success must exhibit itself in every aspect of your life, otherwise you’re fooling yourself, you’re living a lie. When I work with my clients, I spend a lot of time facilitating their defining success for themselves. This is the framework definition that I offer them.

“I’m great at what I do, I put all of my energy into it and I get a kick out of it. I get well rewarded for it and it makes a positive difference to those whose lives I touch. I have a balanced life, putting all of me into everything I do, every place I am, with everybody with whom I find myself. I have a wonderful personal life and fantastic real relationships. I look after myself so that I’m fit and healthy. And I ensure that I spend lots of time doing the things that really excite me – my life is an adventure. I am happy with me, at peace in my own company.”

After that, of course, each individual’s definition of success is unique and personal. But taking this rounded perspective on success changes our perspective of what it is to have truly reached the pinnacle of human achievement. Success needs to be, first and foremost, felt and experienced within. Happiness and success should go hand in hand – and the only place that you will find true happiness is within. Where else would you expect to find it?

Everything else – the cars, the holidays, the second homes, the job titles – is transient. Like everything else in life, these things arise for a time and then pass away. Real success and happiness should not be dependent upon or attached to any of these passing wants. Seek “attachment-based” success and you’re just setting yourself up for disappointment. Alternatively, seek the inner peace and happiness that comes with true, balanced, across-the-board success and you will arrive at a place on which so few even take the trouble to set their sights in the first place.

The whole process started when we were children when we were told to conform, to sit up straight, to stop making noise, to stop doing the things that turned us on and to steer clear of fanciful ideas that we might have about our future – we were encouraged to get a good education, get a good job, retire and die! No wonder people think that they need self-improvement.

During our childhood, our spontaneity, our joie de vivre, our unbridled imagination – these were what ruled our lives – that created fun, that made long sunny summer holiday days seem to go on for ever. During childhood children we were in what the University of Chicago describes as “flow” – we were what my daughter would call “Gurdy”. Life was carefree, open to all kind of possibilities, exciting and adventurous.

What a difference from the normal adult life! How many of us can truly say that we’re excited every morning when we leap out of bed? How many of us can say that we live carefree lives? Or are we open to life’s possibilities? OK, we all have to grow up – but, I’m pretty sure that the record (years of psychological research) shows that people grow older – they rarely grow up. Because if you did bother to grow up, you’d be in full control of your state of mind. You could choose to be carefree, spontaneous, turned on. You could choose to leap out of bed, excited at all that day’s possibilities. You could choose to be open-minded and alert to all life’s wonderful possibilities – to change your life.

Unfortunately, though, the the journey from childhood through adolescence changed the circuitry of our brains – our mental processes sped up, our logical processes took over. Or at least that’s what you might think! But why not reflect a little. There’s nothing logical about worry, nor is it logical to make yourself stressed (because that’s how stress works), there’s nothing logical about closing your eyes to today’s opportunities. But that’s how we behave as adults – our normal subconscious minds living in and longing for those sunny summer holiday days – our conscious minds distracted by the cares and worries of what might happen – instead of focusing, fully focusing as we did as children, on the here and now.

You’re committing a painfully slow suicide – the normal adult, existing in this half-life of destructive thought and worry is as good as dead.

However, you can choose to you can rise from the dead, you can become like a little child again – not childish, but clear, focused, open-minded, fun loving, up for living your best life. It’s up to you to choose your state of mind – didn’t you know that you choose your own thoughts and that your thoughts create your reality. You can choose to come to your senses – revisit reality by seeing, feeling, hearing, smelling and tasting. Slow down to “smell the roses” at least once every single day and you will have taken the most important action for that day – you’ll have taken a definitive step towards living the life that you really, really want.

When I first mention it first to clients, the normal reaction I get is “Oh that’s little unusual” – or “abnormal”. First things first, it’s very important to be abnormal because there are decades of psychological research that, when taken together, proves that normal people are crazy – their mind controls them, not the other way around. So, when I get the “That’s abnormal” reaction, I tell my clients “That’s the whole point!” – meditation should be an integral part of any personal development program.

I get other reactions. Some will tell me that meditation is against their religious beliefs! However, meditation is not about religion. Some religions or cults may well tell you that specific forms of meditation, which are part of their rituals, have to be practiced in a certain manner and must be practiced exclusively of any other forms of practice. But they’re their rules – they have nothing to do with the underlying principles and benefits of meditation. Telling me you cannot meditate for reasons such as that is like telling me that your religion forbids you learning French, because French prayers are said in French churches!

There are others who point to the spiritual aspects of meditation – saying that such a spiritual journey is not for them. No doubt, meditation can lead to a deeper spirituality, but these people are missing the key point. And that key point is this. Meditation, above all else, is a powerfully effective way of disciplining your undisciplined mind. I’ve already alluded to the fact that research proves that the normal mind controls the normal person – not the other way around – so here’s an effective way to take control of your own mind.

If you don’t take control of your mind, your mind will continue controlling and creating your version of reality – in exactly the same way it has been doing so for years. In other words, if there are aspects of your life that you’re unhappy with, these things are the result of your own state of mind. And if these annoyances, frustrations, stresses or inadequacies persist, you’ll be the one to blame – because now you know that your daily “reality” is the result of your state of mind.

If you’re normal, you are lazy, distracted, obsessed (albeit subconsciously) with the past whilst your conscious mind is obsessed with worrying about the future – to the point that precious little of you is actually here. Unfortunately, if you’re not all here, you’re going to get precious little out of life which, whether you like it or not, is taking place in the here and now. Meditation helps you place your mental focus in the here and now. Meditation enables you come to your senses – literally. Meditation breaks the link between what’s actually happening now and how your mind creates a version (often warped) of reality. Meditation is a mental fitness regime that will enable you change your life.

It makes you feel better about yourself. But you should feel good about yourself anyway.

As it turns out, we’ve all been reared on a highly addictive drug – the drug of approval. We need to feel that we’re “in”, that people like and notice us. We waste precious energy wondering what others think of us – but we shouldn’t waste our time – most people don’t think about us at all, they’re too busy wondering what others think of them. From our childhood, when we stood up to do our party-piece or when we won the three-legged race, we’ve been taught that recognition and approval are great. And they are – it’s just that the normal person craves them.

However, your self esteem needs to come from within – that’s kind of what the word “self” means. You should approve of yourself and understand that, in reality, you’re worth it. You may, like all of us, have perceived shortcomings and inadequacies – but that’s all they are, perceptions. We learned these perceptions at the same time that we learned our need for approval – when we were young and impressionable. Nowadays, as adults, the approval of others papers over the cracks of our own perceived inadequacy.

I once asked a very close friend who, quite literally, hated the very sight of himself in the mirror “Do you think that the God you believe in would create something imperfect?” He answered a very definite “Yes” – hardly surprising when you consider that standard religious teaching tells us that we are in need of redemption.

Let’s take a look at the psychological facst. Perhaps we were with blue eyes and a certain skin tone – but we weren’t born with a personality – we learned it. It was foisted upon us (often with the best will in the world) when our minds were sponge-like. And now, in later life, we take what’s lodged in our subconscious as given, the Gospel truth, firmly held beliefs. That’s why we need the approval of others – as I said, it makes us feel better.

Time to get over yourself, kick the habit! Reacquaint yourself with the real you within – that inner power that we all have to be great, to be wonderful, to be all that we can be. Don’t let what’s going on externally give you either a high or a low – your state of mind is the only thing in your life that you can absolutely control – take control with all your energy.

And how might you do that? You need to stop the noise in your head – the internal noise that’s telling you that you’re inadequate and the external approval or disapproval of people, most of whom don’t give a damn about you. You need to train yourself to pay attention to the reality of the here and now. In fact, you’re going to have to come to your senses – you have five of them, use them.

These gadgets claim to give men a bigger penis by sticking their member inside a low pressure vacuum chamber and waiting around for results. Men who think something like this is going to work are sadly mistaken…

The largest problem with penis pumping is that it may be marketed as a “quick-fix”. Companies know that guys are lazy, we want the most results for the least amount of work and so they readily advertise products that we will just “put on” and never need to do anything in order to get huge. Guys buy into this, when in reality penis enlargement is much like anything else in life: If you want it done right, you must do it yourself. Trusting your treasured manhood to some miracle pill or inflation gadget is just plain silly.

Besides, the speedy expansion of the penile tissues induced by penis pumping is much too fast to be safe. Many guys out there have experienced tearing of penile tissues and painful blood vessel bursting, ouch!

Does anything really work? I thought you’d never ask. To make a long story very short: I was looking for a solution to enlarge my penis several months back, because I felt like I couldn’t pleasure my girlfriend the way I should have been able to. After I went around looking for an answer, I tried A LOT of crap products. Eventually, however, engaging in some “penis enlargement exercises” yielded some results for me. As I delved increasingly into this method, I noticed that many guides existed that might assist me maximize the impact of the little “exercises” I had made for myself.

As it turns out, the program I found worked very nicely for me and today, I could not be happier. Surprisingly though, the thing I’m most enthusiastic about hasn’t been my significant size improvements; it has been the increased level of confidence and sexual satisfaction I’ve had since I became bigger. Additionally, the workout routines were typically pretty simple to do, and more importantly the information I used was significantly less expensive than any pump, stretcher, or pill I’d tried out.

Whatever method you decide on, avoid pumping your penis at all costs. Why not try something that works instead?

I’ve been really put off these days by the amount of rubbish promoting executed by numerous companies within the penis enlargement market. It seems like every “medical firm” I see recommending penis enlargement surgery has the same tacky photograph of some guy dressed up in a lab coat pretending to provide his endorsement as a “doctor”.

Get real! Penis enlargement surgery is dangerous and has one of the lowest satisfaction rates amongst its users when compared to any other penis enlargement method. To top all of it off, you are going to be spending anywhere from $4,000 to $6,000 for this type of operation… I believe it’s safe to say that what you pay for is NOT what you get in this scenario. To be perfectly sincere, I discovered the case to be quite the opposite. Pills, pumps, stretchers and other devices offered fairly often are quite costly but fail to deliver on their “guarantees”.

For me, the most effective answer was using penis enlargement exercises. If you’ve heard about these exercises before, you already know that you aren’t actually lifting weights with your penis or anything, but that you’re just using your hands to gently move blood throughout your penis when it is semi-erect. In this way, you’ll be able to place a pressure on the tissues that can cause them to grow over time in response (much in the same way that muscle tissues grow).

If you want to see significant gains from such a method, however, you need to be ready to work for it. Oh, and you also should have some guidance so you do every thing safely and effectively. Many programs out there exist that will let you buy a guide to these exercises, which they often have compiled into daily “workout sessions” of about 10 minutes each.

In my experience these exercises have been painless and the outcomes offered were past that of every other method I’d tried. Best of all, the results were permanent (most exercise programs will show you how to taper off your exercises in a manner that will enable your gains to remain permanent).

There’s only one drawback with these exercises… They take time. For that reason I want to give you access to my Bigger Penis Secrets report which gives you 3 proven tips to make your penis appear larger to women while you wait for the exercise results to kick in (they’re really neat, trust me!).
